Allow me to step in and share some information about the bank memo field in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
I understand the importance of this feature to your business. However, modifying transactions coming from your bank to QBDT is unavailable. QuickBooks relies solely on the information downloaded from your bank.
Currently, you have the ability to access the bank transaction and input the desired information into the memo field. Here are the steps to do so:
- Open your QuickBooks Desktop Premier software.
- Navigate to the Banking menu.
- Select Bank Feeds and then Bank Feeds Center.
- Look for the specific transaction in question and see if there are options to edit or modify the Memo field content.
