Hi Athometradescle-,

Thank you for posting here in the Community. Allow me to chime in and help you accomplish the task from a mobile.

Progress invoicing lets you split an estimate into as many invoices as you need. Instead of asking for full payment at the beginning of a project, you can invoice customers for partial payments.

This option is only available in the old estimate and invoice layout. First, enable progress invoicing in the account settings to use the feature through your browser.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner, then Account and settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab.
  3. In the Progress Invoicing section, select Edit ✎.
  4. Turn on the Create multiple partial invoices from a single estimate switch.
  5. In the Update your invoice template? window, select Update.
  6. Select Save, then hit Done.

Once done, you'll need to create a progress invoice template. I recommend following the remaining solutions in this link: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.

After completing the steps, you can use the mobile app to create estimates and convert them to invoices. Alternatively, you can also use a mobile web browser to access the same features available in the desktop web browser.

Additionally, you can use our chart to compare which features are supported on mobile devices. I've attached the link you can visit for your reference: Compare mobile app features.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about requesting a partial payment to projects in QuickBooks. We'll be happy to help you some more. Take care.
