Hello, coastalbookkeeping and VincentOH.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. QuickBooks will only depend on how the bank transfers the data during transaction downloads. The bank has full control over deciding how information is sent and received by QuickBooks Online and determining the methods used to transfer data.

Also, at this moment, QuickBooks Online has transitioned to using OAuth for online bank connections. This change enhances security by eliminating the need for users to share their banking credentials with QuickBooks Online.

By adopting OAuth, QuickBooks Online ensures a more secure and standardized approach to connecting with online banking systems. This change enhances security and simplifies the connection process for users, as they no longer need to share sensitive information directly with QuickBooks Online.

Can you please provide me with the bank name you are currently using? Because the OAuth and the availability of online bank connections may vary depending on the country and the financial institutions supported by QuickBooks Online.

I'm also adding these articles to learn how to review your downloaded entries and reconcile your accounts:

Please leave a comment below if you have additional questions about this or anything else. I'll be more than happy to answer them. Keep safe.
