I can see you're trying to change your bank account in QuickBooks Online, @asjhhafj45. I'm here to help you rule this out for you to update the account completely.

The error usually occurs when you're having trouble downloading accurate banking information. I suggest reauthenticating QuickBooks with your bank's website.  Start by signing in to your QBO company using an incognito page. Here are the shortcut keys to open it:

 

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

 

Once logged in, follow these to reauthenticate the account:

 

  1. Open the Banking menu.
  2. Select the tile of the account you're working.
  3. Click on the Edit or pencil icon, then hit Edit sign-in info.
  4. Re-enter your bank's sign in details.
  5. Save the data and update the bank for new transactions to download.
