The new Banking design includes a range of new features including the ability to edit the dates of bank transactions, updated clarity on tab names, overall faster page responsiveness/load time and simplified batch actions. At this time, if you are editing the actual view of the page (eg adding a Payee column or so on) this will only display while you remain on the Banking tab and will revert back to 'standard' if you leave the page. However, I can certainly see how saving a customised view of the page would be helpful and would be more than happy to pass this on for consideration in a future product update.
