I'll shed some light on how reports work and provide you with other alternatives.

 

While the Transaction Detail by Account report allows filtering by memo or description, it doesn't calculate your revenue, expenditures, and net income. To get the info you need, you'll want to export the report to Excel and calculate the figures from there using formulas.

 

Similarly, we can customize the Statement of Activity Detail report to add the Memo/Description column. Then, export it to Excel to filter or categorize the data by memo or description.

 

Here's how to download the report:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Under Standard reports, search for Statement of Activity Detail.
  3. Select the Columns option and tick the Memo/Description box.
  4. Click the Export icon above and select Export to Excel.
