Buy nowThe steps to change the primary admin in QuickBooks Online is different from QuickBooks Desktop, @jehjccd. In QuickBooks Online, the primary admin role is managed through User Permissions, whereas QuickBooks Desktop require system-level administrative access.
To successfully change the primary admin, the person assigned to this role must transfer it to the new accountant in the Manage Users.

If you're not the primary admin, you can share the steps above with the last person assigned to this role.
After completing these steps, the new company admin will receive an email invitation. They must accept the invitation for the primary admin rights to be transferred successfully.
Once the process is successful, the original primary admin will automatically be assigned the company admin role. For more details, check out this article: Change the primary admin user.
However, if the last primary admin is unavailable, you can submit a request to change or update this information.
