The only solution I was able to find is to save the invoice as a PDF and then use Adobe to edit the PDF and remove the additional boxes. I'm lucky that most of my invoices are only 1 page, but I occasionally have multiple-page invoices that look terrible. This allows me to edit them and make them look more professional, even if it is extra work each time.
