"Your answer however does not address the issue of VOID/Cancel check as this will be change the figures for the 2023 accounts which have been closed which I need to avoid."

The solution does address the issue - it has no effect on 2023.  Create a deposit dated in the current period (2024 or 2025 as the case may be) for the amount of the check you want to void.  This puts the cash back in your bank account in 2024/2025, which is what QB should allow you to do when voiding a check - it should allow you to choose the effective date of the void, but it doesn't so you need to create a deposit as of the effective date of the void.  Then, issue a new check.  Clear the 2023 check against the 2024/2025 deposit the next time you reconcile.  Clear the newly-issued check when it actually clears.
