Thank you for getting in touch, Don. I completely understand that the prompt might seem inconvenient, but I want to assure you that it is a key measure to bolster the security of your account. I'll provide you with more details about the passkey and how it contributes to your safety.

A passkey is a secure alternative to passwords and two-step verification. It simplifies the sign-in process by replacing multiple steps with just one. Your device securely stores passkeys, keeping them away from websites and apps, which makes them resistant to phishing attacks.

You only need to enroll once, and from there, you can sign in using the same method you unlock your device either with a screen lock or biometrics. This means your passkey remains safe even if your device is lost or stolen.

If you ever switch devices, you'll still have access to your passkey as long as your new device uses the same operating system or password manager (like Apple, Google, or Microsoft). Your keychain or password manager will sync and allow you to use the same passkey across multiple devices.

At the moment, you have the option to easily skip or disregard the prompt. While it can't be completely prevented from appearing, this flexibility allows you to engage at your own pace.

In addition to this,  if you're looking to update your email address, user ID, password, or any other information related to your QuickBooks account, feel free to visit this guide: Update or change your Intuit Account sign-in information.

Your security is our utmost priority, and we truly care about your experience. If you have questions regarding your account information or any QuickBooks-related concerns, please feel free to reach out. My team and I are always ready and willing to help. Have a good one.
