Thanks for bringing our attention to this thread, @10steps1. Let me provide additional details about the differences between the green and blue Gopayments app.

 

The blue Gopayments app is a stand-alone payment account. This may be why some options are unavailable on your end. 

 

If you linked your QuickBooks Payments account with QuickBooks Online, the experience may not be ideal. However, you can switch to the new experience within the GoPayment app once you sign in as the primary admin.

 

Once done, follow the steps below to take a customer payment in person:

 

  1. Open the GoPayment app.
  2. Select Amount and enter the total sale, or click the Items tab to add products and services from your inventory.
  3. Tick the Taxable option to charge sales tax.
  4. Tap View details if you need to add a memo or discount.
  5. Select the Arrow icon > next to the amount to start the sale.
  6. Swipe the customer's credit card or choose Other payment options, then pick Key in cardCash, or Check.
  7. If you select a Card reader, kindly note that each type has different steps. Otherwise, press the Key in card and enter the info manually. Then tap Charge.
  8. Hit Send to email or text the receipt.
