POS 19 is reaching end of service Oct 3, 2023.  From my understanding per multiple phone calls on July 13, 2023, THIS MEANS AS OF OCT 3, 2023

   1.  There will be no online services available for POS.  No more Payments services through POS Intuit Merchant Services, no security updates,  

   2.  You CAN still sync POS with QBFinancial DESKTOP, although QBFinancial Desktop 21 reaches end of service May 2024. (No Payments account or online services or updates.)

   3. You still CAN use POS to receive inventory, sync with QBF Desktop to make item receipts and bills if you have QBF Desktop. 

   4.  You CANNOT sync POS with QBF ONLINE after Oct 3.

   5.  Your POS card reader will no longer be useable for anything. 

Since Shopify is too much for us (services and cost,) we are going to test if we can make a sale in POS, charge the sale to the customer's account, sync with QBF Desktop, and take payment using a basic card reader in QBF--at least until May of 24...  (We already have a merchant account through QBF Desktop, although that will end in May 24.)    -Norma
