Wow. Twenty years. It is nice software and has served my clients well. Intuit does not hide the fact that their focus is on SAAS software now. It was just a matter of time. Desktop software is difficult to support. But I worry about my remote clients with lousy internet. They stay on desktop programs for a reason. 

But before you despair, here is an article I wrote on how to extend the life of V19 until you are ready to migrate to Shopify.

You want you to get your money's worth out of your recently purchased V19. But more importantly, let other stores test the new migration procedures to Shopify first. Chances are, if you have a copy of the program and its patch files in case you need to re-install the software AND you use another merchant service that works within POS, you can continue well past Oct 2023 and take your time comparing software before making a final decision on Shopify or another program. Changing inventory programs is not to be taken lightly. Depending on CC volume, a new machine could be free or discounted.
