Rubielyn_J has made the first helpful suggestion for this problem. I was experiencing this problem most, but not all, of the time. I do not use Ad Blocker, but I do use Ghostery. I made the qbo logon screen a trusted site, and the majority of the 2-factor requests went away. I still get them a few times a week. It seems to me they occur after an unusually long time without activity on any single function within Intuit. I had to verify by a texted code in order to reply to this thread.
