I understand that you want the Name field for journal entries to appear on the Journal report, boncrab and LyndaS.
In QuickBooks Online, the Name field for journal entries won't show up and it's working as design. As a workaround, you can export the report to Excel and manually enter the name from there.
Here's how to export the report.
- Go to Reports from the left menu.
- Search for and select Journal.
- At the top of the report, click the Export icon, then select Export to Excel.
- Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.
If you’re missing data when you open the report in Excel, the file's in protected view. In Excel, you’ll need to select Enable Editing to view the full report.
In addition to this, you can submit feedback about the feature that you want to add. Here's how:
- Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
- Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.
