Hello there, ecena

I want to help and ensure correct information will be given to you. Can you tell what are the challenges you experienced? Do you get any errors when trying to restore your new company file? Any additional details would be much appreciated. This can help me share an accurate solution with you.

As an initial step, let's ensure to remove special characters from your company file name.

  1. Search for the location of your company file.
  2. Right-click the file name and select Rename.
  3. Create a file name that has no special character and Enter.

If the steps above are not applicable for you (don't have any special characters added to your company file), please check other solutions outlined in this article: Get help with Error: Failed or Error: Restore Failed.

For more details about the process of restoring your company file, you can use this guide: Restore your file.

You'll want to visit this article for information about accessingQuickBooks Desktop and connected Intuit services: Understand the differences between Intuit account roles and QuickBooks roles.

If you're referring to something else, please let me know. Also, you can post other QuickBooks concerns below. I'll be here anytime to help you more, ecena.
