Good day, luvee!

There's a setting in QuickBooks Desktop where you can select a default date. Let me help you!

Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. From the General tab, select Use today's date as default from the Default Date To Use For New Transactions section.
  3. Tap OK to save it.

Also, update your QuickBooks Desktop to ensure you have the latest fixes and patches. If the same thing happens, run the Verify and Rebuild Data tool to fix any data issue that causes this incorrect date.

I added this link if you need more help in tracking customer transactions in QuickBooks Desktop: Get started with customer transaction workflows in QuickBooks Desktop.

Comment again here if you have other concerns. Take care!
