Currently, Internet Explorer (IE) is the supported browser in QuickBooks Desktop. However, this browser isn't supported in QBO.
You can use the following URL to initiate the download in Internet Explorer as a workaround: http://qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt. Then, prepare to export your QuickBooks Online data by following these steps:
- Go to the Get Started button in the Export Overview window.
- Choose Install under ActiveX Control Now.
- When it's finished, click Continue.
- Select the data you want to export, then choose Continue.
- Review the limitations and click Continue.
- Enter your contact info and then select Continue.
Once done, you can use this article to complete the process. From there, go directly to Step 4: Finish exporting your data: Export your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
