I appreciate that you took time to answer this question but I take issue with the reason given.  The NAME of the transaction would appear in the Number column.  Other QB user interface tools, such as bills and invoices, allow for multiple lines with different data and the names from those transactions appear on reports just fine.  This is a problem and it needs to be fixed.
