I use QB on my computer and have multiple company books to manage (I am not an accountant). No one else has access to my computer.

I am also a computer security expert (10+ years in field) and a software developer. I find it preposterous that Intuit has taken a security decision out of my hands. Sure, provide the ability for an administrator to require a password for all users.

However, password requirements ARE A POLICY DECISION and should not be baked into the application. I know the security of my setup better than Intuit. Adding this password step to my daily process does not in any way protect the security of my financial data.

Unfortunately, I will continue to not upgrade or accept patches because of Intuit's flawed development philosophy.
