Aside from protecting sensitive data, QuickBooks Desktop also requires users to have a password in compliance with security and privacy as accounting software. 

I appreciate you letting us know about your thoughts. That said, I will pass this along to our Product Team so they can consider adding a feature with an advanced setting for power users that'll disable the password.
