I’ve seen a lot of discussions regarding the password requirement in QuickBooks Desktop. We ee explain to users that we’re protecting your data, and your clients, employees, and vendors as well. I also assume that you’ve already read the articles with explanations as to why we require it.

On the other hand, I’ll let our engineers know about your suggestion about making the password optional.
