Thank you for posting on the Community page, Vov. I'd be delighted to share some troubleshooting steps to fix the error you encounter when attempting to resubscribe in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

The error code -81594 indicates a validation issue with your billing information. To isolate the problem, let's make sure that there are no special characters or symbols (such as @ or *) in your billing address, as these will cause errors. Verify that every field on the payment method screen is filled in and it matches your QuickBooks company file or Intuit account address, including the postal code. If your address doesn't have a postal code, enter 00000.

If the same thing happens, I suggest accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. The browser utilizes cached data to load web pages quickly. However, excessive cache can lead to problems that impact the appearance and functionality of your account.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once you're in incognito mode, update the payment method. If it works, you can use your regular browser to clear the cache to improve the program's performance. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

Additionally, I'll add this guide about managing your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QBSE.

You're always welcome to post if you need further assistance resolving the error message when updating QBSE. We're here to support you and ensure you have a positive experience with QuickBooks.
