You can only "run" your company file from a dynamic type cloud and neither OneDrive nor cloud are such types of clouds - they are for storage and retrieval, not continuous update.  You certainly can copy your company file from the cloud to the computer and back (backup/restore is preferred) or you can pay for a genuine dynamic cloud hosting service...

...or using remote desktop software, simply take over the work computer from home. In fact by using a remote desktop app you could access the QB for Mac installed at work from a PC at home
