Buy nowCount me among the Intuit haters these days. Spent a bunch of time and money upgrading to 2022 from 2020 only to see a little box pop up upon my first login saying Scan Manager was discontinued. Like many others here, we have scanners at every QB user's desk and use the feature daily.
I tried the cell phone app and I could not even find my company to try and upload anything. Logged in as an administrator and as a user and both time the app found multiple company files with the same name, but none were the actual one we are using - total waste of time and as others have said, taking a cell phone image of 10 pages front and back and then manually attaching them to a records is just pure insanity. Did they let some kid out of College come up with that brillant idea??
I had to delete the upgraded databases as they no longer function in 2020 once converted to 2022 and then restore backups to created new 2020 databases. Fortunately I did this late at night when no one was working or I would have had to manually redo a bunch of transactions as well.
I also want to add that the Scan Manager utility itself was already way outdated and clunky, would have made a hell of a lot more sense to put a team together to improve that rather than take it away, don't you think? The owner is so fed up with QB quirks and issues like this that he is just about ready to switch back to an old system and put up with headaches we thought were long gone...
Let's get the Scan Manager upgraded and restored QB - it's a no brainer - I've read a lot of posts here and this topic might be the most heated one yet. Someone needs fired for greenlighting this chnage.
