I never did get my issue resolved. I submitted the "payroll correction" and followed up with several phone calls and was told they were working on it. It was supposed to be 20-30 business days so I decided to wait it out. Then...the last time I called, nothing had happened, they lost my submission, and the ticket was closed. So we must manually amend all payroll returns and I will just make a journal entry to record the additional payroll for my client in QBO. So we can't actually use QBO payroll to record payroll. All because we can't bypass an error. It's difficult to properly express my disappointment. Just please stay away from QBO payroll.
