Welcome back, and thanks for this input about the customer and supplier notes sections on their profiles in QuickBooks Online. I hear what you're saying about the size of the field being challenging when you have a lot of detail there that you need to scroll through. Likewise, I can appreciate that some businesses like to keep a lot of detailed information about their customers and you might have a specific way you'd like to use that field.
If you haven't done so already, I echo my colleagues' suggestion to submit feedback to our product development team. You can even copy and paste what you've got here so you don't have to retype everything. Using the feedback feature is the most effective way to alert our team to the enhancements you'd like to see to the product, and they consider the comments when making updates. Feel free to bookmark our QuickBooks Online Feature and Product Updates page as well to stay in the know with what's knew to the program.
In the meantime, you're welcome to consider the Attachments option for both suppliers and customers. With this option, you could add things like Word document files or PDFs of the additional information you need for your customers or suppliers while still keeping them accessible in your books. If you need to make changes or add to those files, you could then simply remove them from the profile after opening them and reattach once you've made the changes.
