Hi there,
I have just recently had this happen to me as well. I opened a QB checking account to take advantage of their envelope promotion. I transferred 10k of my personal funds into the account. I am a brand new business. After a couple of days of the acct being open, QB decided to close my merchant acct, citing no reason for doing so. My 10k transfer was still showing up as pending. I called QB and they confirmed my money would be transferred back to my personal bank the next day. Instead of the money going back to my personal acct, it went into the checking acct that is on hold! I can do absolutely nothing with this acct. I have called numerous times to get my money back (16+ hours) on the phone with them. Worst customer service and worst experience of my life. No one wants to help, no one wants to take responsibility, they send you from person to person, you are on hold for HOURS. Last guy I talked to, Andrew, told me there was absolutely nothing I could do...to stop calling and that they could hold my money indefinitely. Not sure if my business will even be able to launch now because of this. This is a scam they are running, it should be illegal, and they need to be sued. Don't fall into the trap. I am happy to help anyway I can with a law suite and tell my story.
