What states is it illegal to charge a credit card fee 2023?
Surcharging is allowed in 48 states in the United States. As of early 2021, only Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico continue to prohibit surcharging. Note that surcharging laws have been overturned by court decisions in several other states but are still on the books.
You can charge the fee and No it doesn't look bad. Anyone with a business knows that there is a fee. A residential customer may not know this but they should know the "rewards" they get aren't free. QB needs to capture the fees they charge us when the card is processed.
