You can import your Chart of Accounts from QuickBooks Online to be used for payroll. It is important to have this set up and allocate a default account for each items. Let me show you how to import your accounts.
- Go to Employees tab.
- Select Payroll Settings and then Chart of Accounts.
- Select Import Accounts on the upper right corner.
- Once on the import accounts page, you will see a list of all the accounts in your QuickBooks Online Chart of Accounts. Tick each account that you'd like to map to a payroll transaction type.
- Click Save after you've selected all your accounts.
If you're seeing Manage Accounts instead of Import Accounts on your Chart of Accounts, you'll need to contact our Customer Care Team to reset your Chart of Accounts. If this has been done, you can try to clear your browser's cache and try to set up your Chart of Accounts again.
