Payroll and STP

Hi mandy4,

 

There could be a couple of reasons why you aren't seeing your payroll journals export to QuickBooks. The first thing to check is the payroll Chart of Account setup:

 

  1. Select the Employees tab, then Payroll Settings
  2. Under the Business Settings heading, select Chart of Accounts
  3. Click on Default Accounts to view the setup. If this is incomplete or incorrect, select the relevant accounts to export the journals to and Save. If the accounts you would prefer to use are not in the dropdown list, use the 'Import Accounts' button in the top right hand corner to import the accounts from QuickBooks. 
  4. Once you have saved this, open a finalised payrun and select the option 'Export to QuickBooks' to check if they are now exporting correctly.
