Someone in another thread post the following troubleshoot
Note: This is the way to create a registry update file that will "fix" the QB Desktop limitation that requires
Internet Explorer 11 to run on Windows 10 and 11 which now don't have Internet Explorer.
Instructions:
1 - copy the text that is within the "= = = =... ===" lines (do not copy the "= = =" lines!)
2 - open Notepad and paste those lines into Notepad.
3 - Click on "File" in "Notepad",
click on "Save As"
and then save it as as "Add IExplorer Path to Registry.reg" (or whatever you'd like
to name it).
Just make sure it has the ".reg" suffix!
4 - the file should appear in File Explorer as a type of "Registration Entries" and not "Text
Document".
If it ends up showing "Text Document", you'll need to rename it to end with a ".reg"
suffix
5 - Click on the ".... .reg" file" and it will warn you that it is modifying the registry. You should
select "ok" to install the "fix".

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Iexplore.exe]
@="\"%ProgramFiles%\\Internet Explorer\\iexplore.exe\""

You may try it and please note "Do it on your own risk".
