This error will show up if the name that you're trying to use is already associated with an existing tax agency. You can either add an extra character to the name of the new agency or edit the name of the existing one.
Please follow these steps to edit an agency's name:
- Go to the Sales Tax tab under the Taxes menu.
- Click Add/edit tax rates and agencies under the Related Task section.
- Select the tax agency and click Edit.
- Change the name and click Save.
