I feel the same as you. I found this string trying to find a way to turn it off. In the past, QB would show you something new (either free or for sale) and you could essentially say, "I'm not interested" and you wouldn't see it again. Now, you can't do that, something pops up and you can only say your aren't interested, "for now" then it comes back again in the future.
We're running business on paid software and we are busy. It's disrespectful of Intuit not to value our time. Sometimes you can be very focused on an important task, let's say preparing for a workers comp audit, you open QB and you have to read and figure out how to close a sales pitch that you have no interest in seeing. This really can disrupt your train of thought.
If you want to sell something, do it through email and let us opt in or out. Show new features one time only after a major upgrade and then not again.
