The steps provided by my colleague @Ryan_M are only applicable for QuickBooks Online version that's why you're unable to see the Search option when running the report.

Nonetheless, I can share with you how you can access the Expenses by Vendor Summary report on your QuickBooks Desktop account.

Here's how:

1. Click on the Reports menu.
2. Select Company & Financial.
3. Once done, click on Expense by Vendor Summary to open the report.
