I can help you print your W-3 form. Let's make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release, and you have the latest tax table. This will help rectify print issues for federal forms, especially when the system wasn't able to receive updates for a month or more.
Here's how:
- Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Choose the Update Now tab. You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
- Select Get Updates to start the download.
- Once the download finishes, restart the QuickBooks Desktop system.
- When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.
To download the latest tax table, refer to these steps:
- Select Employees, then select Get Payroll Updates.
- Check the Download Entire Update box.
- Choose Download Latest Update. An informational window appears when the download is complete.
Also, ensure that you're currently using one of the supported payroll services that print W-3 forms like QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, Payroll Standard, and Assisted Payroll.
