IAre you referencing IE Mode in Edge?
That won't work. It doesn't work now.
See this post above- QB doesn't use the normal IE from the OS exactly- I suspect if they did then the Edge IE Mode workaround would be fine. For whatever reason and against best practices they embedded part of the busted IE in thier app so it cannot work once IE is removed from the system.
It's potentially only a matter of time till MS forcibly removes IE from machines in a security patch to avoid future liability. They've already forcibly removed it from Win 11 and the latest version of Win 10. I'd hate to wake up on June 16th and MS removed IE and now my QB install with decades of financial data is no longer accessible.
Intuit needs to make a statement publically of what the plan is and let us know. I'm not going to wait till June 16 to find out what happens. The longer they wait the more I look at alterative systems. Even if the plan is "sorry no desktop versions of QB will work after June 15th you need to buy a subscription before then" - they should let us know in advance
