Thanks for the post!
Quick question: Why is it that when you visit the link for QBDT 2019 and QBDT 2021, only the 2019 version says it's compatible with Monterey in the description ( the very top line)?
Don't you think it should be added to the description of 2021 for clarity?
Thank you!

Thank you for being a part of the Community, @billhdz.
Let me share some information on this. QuickBooks Desktop 2019 version was updated a week ago to include the Monterey capability, and Quickbooks 2021 hasn't been updated since June and does not yet include the Monterey capability.
We will make sure to edit the descriptions of products as necessary as updates are made! I hope this helps, and please let me know what else I can help you with. Take care!

I'm still confused
My QB says Desktop Mac 2020
Then says Version V19.0.10 R11
Is this Mac 2020 or 19
Your posting listed the ones for 2020 only had til June R9 while the 2019 lists R13
When I check for updates within the QB app says I'm up to date
Will this work with Monterrey?

Will this fix work if I was using quickbooks2016? My computer updated to Monterrey and now I cannot open quickbooks at all. It pops up and says qb quit suddenly. I can’t even access it from the toolbar.

I’m here to help and provide solutions on how to open your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2016.
The version mentioned above was already discontinued and it’s no longer compatible with macOS Monterey. To get you back on track, you can upgrade the Mac program or switch back to your previous operating system.
If you select the latter option, I suggest reaching out to Macintosh Technical Support Team to revert your operating system to the previous one. Once done, create a backup of your company file to keep a copy of your transactions.
These resources will guide you in saving a copy of your data. You’ll also see the steps to restore it.

Utilize the trial version for QBD 2021 to make sure it works on your Mac. Then you can still buy a one time license for QBD 2021 or the subscription license for QBD 2022.

Sorry to hear that Al-Iglesias. I have had zero problems running QuickBooks 2019 (V18.0.13 R14) running Monterey (12.2) on my 2021 MacBookPro M1. For me, this question has been answered. How do I remove it from the message board?

The issue wasn't 2019 QB Mac with Monterrey, as I have one client who runs it without a hitch, it was 2021 QB for Mac that is not working and was wondering if anyone experience the same issue.

Thank you for your quick reply, but I still do not feel like I got the answer I needed.
Please know, I am not much of a technology geek. This stuff does not come easy for me and it is more of a struggle to understand and grasp it.
Last week, when I updated my mac (2015) to the new os Monterey, I was no longer able to access my Quickbooks, 2016. I am clueless as to where to go from here but desperately need to gain access.
I clicked on the links you shared but do not see how any of them can help.
Thank you for your response.

Hello @OHero,
Before we can start accessing your company file in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, may I ask for a few clarifications about your initial inquiry?
Have you received an error message saying QuickBooks 2016 seems not compatible with Monterey? And have you tried to install and access both 2015 and 2016 versions on the same Mac desktop at the same time?
Keep me updated in the comments below. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care and stay safe!

You don't have any other options but upgrading your QBD Mac version. Utilize the trial version for QBD Mac 2021 as I recommended earlier to make sure it works before buying the license. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD Mac 2021 from several partners.

"You can still purchase the one time license for QBD Mac 2021 from several partners." Where can you buy the software without it being a yearly subcription for the desktop version like I did with 2020 version?
