I'll handle this query about backup restoration for you, @GCOKC.

Whenever you restore a backup of a QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file, it recreates an exact copy of it. This includes the custom Chart of Accounts you stated above.

When you're ready to proceed with the restore process, follow these steps to browse for the backup file:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks menu, then select Preferences.
  2. Choose Backup.
  3. Hit Reveal Backup Folder, then double-click the folder where your backup file is located.
  4. Tap Date Modified to sort by date to see your most recent backup.

To restore the file, go with the steps below:

  1. Double-click the backup file.
  2. Drag the copy of the company file to the folder where you keep your QuickBooks company. (If you see Attachments Library, include it as well.)
  3. Open QBDT for Mac.
  4. Go to Browse, then to the folder where the backup file is located.
  5. You'll see a prompt to let you know that you're opening a backup file, tap Continue.
  6. Type in a name for the company file, then Save.
  7. Hit OK.

In case you're using QBDT for Windows, open this article instead: Restore a backup of your company file.

Keep this article for future reference: Fix backup company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop. It has troubleshooting steps you can do if you encounter error messages during the restoration process.
