I am having the same issue in QB2018. I have followed this thread to the end and applied all suggested fixes and updates with no success. I have even uninstalled QB 2020 and QB 2021 in desperation. Still no success.
I have run updates in QB 2018 and QB 2019 multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled QB2018, Run the QB file doctor, QB Tool Hub, and made sure my version of Windows is up to date. I have even asked my client to cancel and re-send the Accountant Copy file.
Other users in my office can open and save transactions to the Accountant copy file, but I can not.
Switching to a new computer within my office is not an option, and I've already wiped and reinstalled everything I can. I'm not looking forward to a hours long phone call to support while they request that I do all these steps again.
When will there be an actual fix to this problem?
