Other questions

I found this workaround interesting but will not work in the corporate environment that I manage.  We use QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop for a reason - we are an enterprise.

As the IT manager, I maintain upwards of 150 different company files that are accessed by a dozen different accountants.  I have a local admin account (password protected) for each of those files in addition to individual user accounts with assigned passwords.  We do not use QuickBooks payroll, bill pay, or other services that are accessed online. Additionally, I have a custom application (which requires the use of the Integrated Applications feature) that exports data from a SQL database into approximately 50 different QB files every evening.

The company files are stored on two different servers that users access over the network. I am unable to use the Windows Defender Firewall workaround for the primary reason that I disable the Windows Defender Firewall on all of my systems.  I have two very expensive hardware firewalls and I don't need software firewalls causing me grief.

It was bad enough when the annoying, intrusive, unnecessary "Login to your Intuit Account" popup broke my custom application.  But when I tried to add new users with Full Access, Intuit wanted me to INVITE them to access a file they've been intimately involved with for upwards of 20 years.  There is NO way I'm linking each company file user account with a new, Intuit online account.  Have you people completely lost your mind?

The one time I called support to beg for relief, I was told that all I had to do was use the master account from CAMPS, login with that, and the popup goes away.  Really? What part of I DON'T WANT TO LINK MY COMPANY FILES TO ANY INTUIT ONLINE ACCOUNT is so difficult to understand?  I purposely have avoided MS Office 365 and continue to buy perpetual licenses for that very reason.  I don't link a single Windows 10 workstation to an online account, they are all domain joined.  At least Microsoft gives us a lame choice so we don't have to hand over our corporate emails to them when activating their product.

But, as my other complaining posts have stated - Intuit couldn't care less that a large chunk of loyal, long term customers are livid.  They make a whole lot more money gigging users with their subscription service.  Thank God I can retire soon.
