Providing great service is our priority, @PTELanc.
That being said, let me provide with you some info about receiving an email that you require to log back into your Intuit account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Intuit account (IA) is distinct from your QuickBooks Desktop and Payroll. IA is used to access any of Intuit’s current and future products. This account ensures the following:
- An extra layer of security and protection.
- Access to edit and modify your information through a single account (same UserID and password) for every Intuit product you choose to use.
- Access to added features and benefits for Payroll, Payments, Time tracking, and more, which may require an extra layer of security.
Even if you save your IA Primary Admin credentials, the QBDT file will still require you to log back in every 180 days. This way, QuickBooks will notify you that you're the admin.
If you wish to turn off the prompt that's showing on your QuickBooks, here's what you need to do:
- Open your QuickBooks file and go to the Edit menu.
- Choose Preferences.
- Then select General on the left-side panel.
- Click the My Preferences folder.
- Check the box next to Turn off popup messages for products and services.
- Once done, click OK.
Then restart QuickBooks for this change to take effect.
Additionally, here's an article you can read through to help you stay logged in to the QuickBooks company file. This way, you can sign in without entering your password.
Please let me know if you have other questions about accessing your company file in QuickBooks. I'm always a few clicks away. Stay safe always.
