There's an easy way to close the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) program on your laptop, @DE67. Let me guide you on how to do this.
Your laptop has a built-in software wherein you can monitor all your running applications, processes, and services, as well as computer performance, network activity, and memory information. I'm talking about the Task Manager tool. You can utilize the said app to close the QBDT program. To do this, you can perform any of the following:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click the Task Manager option.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Click the Start menu, select Run, and type in "taskmgr".
- Right-click the taskbar and select the Task Manager option.
Once you're in the Task Manager window, select the QuickBooks Desktop application, then click the End task button. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.
Also, I'm adding this article to guide you in managing your QBDT company file: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about data security and company information, to name a few. You can click the + More topics button to view other selections.
Don't hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance in closing the QBDT application on your device. I'm just around to help. Take care and stay safe always.
