I think I found a way to fix this.  All I do is NOT do it.  I close the window when it comes up.  I've been working for a couple of months in a file and it doesn't even come up and ask me anymore!  Even when clients bring me THEIR files, I just wait until the X shows up and I close the window.  So far, so good.  Sure, there isn't a way to ELMINATE it, but ignoring it seems to be working for me.  I agree, it should not even BE THERE but I've come to the conclusion Intuit is NOT going to budge on the IDIOTIC idea of logging into an ONLINE account for a desktop product.  I have advised ALL clients to NOT do it.  The ones that had already done it are having issues emailing invoices and statements.  The ones that didn't setup a login have had no issues.
