Let me help you solidify this in no time, @hehartman.
To start, let's ensure to update your QuickBooks to its latest release.
Here's how:
- Close your company files and QuickBooks.
- Open the Windows Start menu.
- Look for QuickBooks Desktop, and then right-click the icon and choose Run as administrator.
- On the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Select the Options tab and then choose Mark All, after click Save.
- Go to the Update Now tab and click the Reset Update checkbox.
- Once you're ready, choose to Get Updates.
When the update is finished, close and reopen QuickBooks Desktop. Then, click Yes to complete the process. Once done, restart your computer.
If the issue persists, we can utilize the verify and rebuild tool to identify if it has something to do with the data.
May I also know what error code are you receiving? Additional info would be much appreciated for me to provide further steps.
I've also added this reference you can read for further guidance: Use the Accountant's Copy
