Can't adjust inventory start date
Okay, first some background. We recently migrated from QBD to QBO. Today I found a bill for an inventory item that had gotten misplaced and never entered, from before the migration date. When I try to input the bill, I am prevented from saving it with an error message about the bill date being before the tracking start date for the item. That start date was initialized in QBD long ago and is well before the bill date, but QBO has set it as the date that we migrated. The solution, as shown in many other posts here, is to smply change the start date for the item. Unfortunately, when I try I get this:

But despite setting it to a date well before the one of the bill I'm trying to enter I'm still prevented from saving the bill by that error message. Any idea what's going on here and how to get around it without deleting the item and making it again? This doesn't feel like a one-off situation and that's really frustrating that I'd have to do that every time this issue may crop up in the future.
