Don't know if anyone has made this suggestion in the past, but I found a work around for the original question about stopping the Intuit Account popups. Actually quite simple, but takes some self-discipline and a willingness to think out of the technology box. All you have to do is this: before opening Quickbooks, disconnect from the internet. That's it.
I routinely use QB on a computer that is offline for all but once a week when I briefly enter the internet abyss to update and then quickly get out. I toggle between about 10 companies, and never get asked that annoying Intuit question. Everything that requires me to be connected (email, research, etc.) is done on a separate computer. The only reason I even looked at this question is to see if they had come up with a more direct solution. Apparently not.
