I’ve got steps here to resolve the error, @peggycnelson.
There are several reasons why clients unable to import Accountant's Changes successfully. The Accountant's Copy restriction might remove or could have data issues within the company file.
We can perform some troubleshooting steps here to get this resolve. Here’s how:
First, save the file locally.
- If they’re opening the file from a portable drive (USB or thumb drive), copy the file locally.
- If the file is saved on a server, either copy the file to the local drive or perform the task on the server.
Then follow these instructions to fix data damage in case the issue persists.
- First, choose Window and then select Close All.
- Go to the File menu, and then click Utilities.
- Select Rebuild Data.
- Follow the onscreen instruction to back up your data.
- When the tool finishes, select OK.
- Navigate to the File menu, then hover over Utilities.
- Click Verify Data and select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.
