I'd also like this resolved without delay, @Loisb.
The steps above are the recommended fixes to get around the QuickBooks crashing issue when accessing the accountant's file. Since you're still having the same error, I'd recommend contacting our live support.
One of our representatives can perform a remote session to take a closer look at what's causing this. They can also open a case for you or even escalate this if needed.
Before doing so, please see our support hours guide to ensure they can assist you on time. Let me guide you how:
- Open QuickBooks Desktop and click the Help menu.
- Select QuickBooks Desktop Help or press F1 on your keyboard.
- On the pop-up screen, select Contact us.
- Click Search for Something else.
- Enter your concern on the Tell us more about your question box, like "QuickBooks Desktop crashes when accessing the accountant's file."
- Click the Search button.
- Select your preferred contact method, and then follow the on-screen prompts to proceed.
By the way, you can also do other tasks with your accountant copy. Please head to The Essential Accountant's Copy Guide section in this article for more tips: Use the Accountant's Copy.
Stay in touch with me if you need more insights with managing your accountant's file in QuickBooks. I'll be here to give a guide or two.
