I appreciate you for performing the steps on transferring the master admin, @hearagain2.

 

If you’re having an issue transferring the master admin role, I recommend reaching out to our support team for assistance. They will be able to dive into your account and determine why you can't access the steps properly. They can also assist you to complete the  Master Admin claim.

 

Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online and click the Help icon in the upper right of the screen.
  2. Select Contact US on the pop-up. Then, enter what you're needing assistance with in the How can we help? field and choose Continue
  3. Click Get a callback.
  4. Enter your contact information and select Call me.
